About the brewery

The Keswick Brewing Company is located on the site of a much older brewery which closed in 1897, at the Old Brewery on Brewery Lane in Keswick . Bringing brewing back to Keswick. The 10 barrel brewery was established during Spring 2006. The brewing capacity was expanded during 2007 and 2008 to help cope with increased demand.

The brewery was set up with quality and environmental issues at its heart. In recognition of  all the brewery does environmentally  it has been awarded the CBEN Gold environmental award in 2011 , 2012 and 2013.

A Thirst please.....Thirst Run was the first beer created and has proved popular ever since. This 4.2% Golden Pale Ale has been  a favorite for many of our customers and has a dedicated following. It was initially going to be named 'First Run', however, through a misunderstanding during a phone call the name 'Thirst' came about. The use of ‘Thirst’ has now formed the basis of our range.

The Brewery now has a members club the 'Thirst Club' with membership including complimentary brewery tours, merchandise and a discount in the brewery shop.
Brewery Tours are available. Please book online or ring to find out opening times or to book a tour.
