(Small-batch beer crafted in the lea of dastardly Helm wind)

A small pilot brewery on the edge of the North Pennines just outside Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria. Making strong, well-flavoured beer in casks, kegs and bottles. Inspired by a passion for strong, distinctive beers from the Pacific North West and Belgium the brewery currently uses a small pilot size brewery (ex-Corinium Ales) and brews with the highest quality grain and hops and in small batches, exploring the exotic side of craft brewing.

First Beers

The Alice series beer:

Jabberwock: American Pale Ale around 5.2% ABV -  smooth gently bitterness and fruity aroma. Magnum, Cascade and Citra hops. May change a bit in development…

Bandersnatch: Bit darker than Jabberwocky, bit more bitter, and way more dry hops for an aroma and taste sensation. 6% ABV

Jub Jub Red Ale: Malty, smooth with a subtle resinous finish from Willamette hops. 5.5% ABV

The fellside specials:

Ghost tractor VSP –  (Vanilla Smoked Porter). Subtle on smoked malt and vanilla. Currently 5.1% ABV.

Fiend’s Fell –  Russian Imperial Stout has just finished its first period of bottle conditioning and is already a corker.  Black, smooth oily mouth feel One to age! 8.7% ABV
